Beekeeping 101

  • Led by Carmen of Feral Farms Beekeeping, this lecture-based workshop will take a comprehensive look into the inner workings of a honeybee hive. Starting with the basic question, “what is a bee?,” participants will dive deep into bee biology, behavior, and how these crucial pollinators interact with native species, agricultural systems, humans and the environment. This class will be followed by Beekeeping 102, "The Ins and Outs of Beekeeping".

    Walk away with the foundation and knowledge to become a responsible steward of these small but mighty pollinator friends and a copy of the "All About Bees" presentation.
