Beach Collage with Li Newton

Palm trees, crashing waves, the roar of the ocean...heaven. This class will focus on depicting moving water, cloudy skies and sandy beaches. Maybe even a sunset.

Learn to paint with paper. We will all work from the same image.

Goals:

-Learn basic analog (cut by hand) paper collage techniques.

-Basic cutting and gluing, building layers to create depth. 

-Complete or build the foundation for a 9 X 12 finished piece.

I will supply: 

wood panels, many types and colors of paper, scissors, gel medium, foam brush, gloves.

Student supplies:

-Any personal items such as photo (copies) or small personal items to attach.

- Extra colorful papers, magazines, etc. that have a variety of colors and textures.

- Apron or clothes you do mind getting a little glue on.

- A beverage and snack.

Everyone can do this! Don’t be intimidated. It’s all about learning, experimenting, and community.
