By Edwin Salas
With original score performed live by multi-improvisational instrumental artist Mike Andersen.Edwin Salas and Mike Andersen revive their award‑winning 2026 Fringe ritual-performance tracing an undocumented immigrant’s transformation into a citizen, an ICE officer, an exile, and a false messiah. Through piano, projection, and grotesque movement, the piece confronts whiteness, power, and state violence. If you’re angry about what’s happening now, this show speaks directly to that urgency.
🏆 WINNERS: Artists who experimented with sound at the 2026 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival

Difficult, tender necessary performance. Profoundly human. Essential expression by a prolific storytelling Fringe performer who never disappoints.

Both gentlemen in this unlikely duo blew our minds. Brutal genius from Salas and brilliant balming soundgarden growing up around and throughout by Andersen. We will look for every opportunity to follow both artists work from here on.
