Asheville Art Deco Architectural Tour

Celebrate 100 years of Douglas Ellington's architecture in Asheville! You will be transported by trolley to 5 different Douglas Ellington properties including Asheville High School, S&W Cafeteria, Asheville City Hall, First Baptist Church and the Douglas Ellington House in Chunns Cove. Additional history about Asheville's most prolific architectural decade of the 1920s will be shared as well! Snacks and drinks will be provide on the trolley, as well as a unique souvenir at the conclusion of the tour. 

We tour the inside of the following Ellington Buildings: Asheville High School, First Baptist Church and Ellington's personal home in Chunns Cove. We will be getting off and on the bus, as well as walking on some uneven surfaces. When we arrive at Ellington's personal home, pieces of Douglas' artwork not on display normally to public will be out for our viewing.
