Bistro 1896

Located on Pack Square, with plenty of patio seating overlooking the neo-gothic Jackson Building and I.M. Pei's resplendently ultra-modern Akzona Building, Bistro 1896 is the perfect spot to linger over that second bottle of wine. Known for its broadly-appealing menu, Bistro chefs offer creative takes on contemporary American cuisine. Selections range from the Cajun-inspired fried green tomato napoleon to a seafood-stuffed salmon with a honey-habanero green-apple glaze & mandarin orange risotto. Bistro's version of the Chicken Bel-Air—a rave local fav—comes with sun-dried cherries and walnut-encrusted goat cheese. Chef and owner Jenna Harrison continues to operate the Bistro as a decidedly casual yet fine food establishment. Menus change seasonally. Bistro 1896 is open seven days a week for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch. Private Dining Rooms available at reasonable rates. A Yearly Wine Spectator Award Winner!
