Art from the Heart
Local craftsmanship that is unusual and affordable is the gold standard at Art From The Heart on historic Cherry Street in downtown Black Mountain. A native of the Blue Ridge Mountains, gallery owner Dee Sharp's love of mountain life is expressed through her jewelry in designs that include dogwoods, trillium, irises, lady's slippers, bleeding hearts, acorns, trees, dragonflies, hummingbirds, bunnies, owls, raccoons, turtles, bees, contra dancers, and baskets. In addition to artisan jewelry, the gallery features wildflower paintings, hand carved manger scenes, mosaic tile crosses, acorn shaped birdhouses, CDs of regional dulcimer music, mountain pottery angels, and many other artisan items found exclusively at Art From The Heart.
