The WNC Nature Center is 40 acres of animals in their native habitats. It provides an opportunity to learn, to touch and to know our rich natural heritage through educational and interactive exhibits.

From downtown Asheville: take I-240 East and take exit 8; turn left on Fairview Road and travel .7 miles; turn right on NC-81 and travel .7 miles; turn right on Gashes Creek Road and cross the bridge; travel .3 miles; WNC Nature Center will be on the right

Times/Hours: Open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.: closed winter holidays
