Explore the high country on horse back or in a horse-drawn covered wagon, several trails from which to choose. Our Big Belgium Horses make quite a show. The 200 yr.old Long Pine Gem (garnet) Mine cave is our most popular ride. Pack a lunch and bring the camera! No age or weight limits. Everyone rides!

Directions:

from Asheville: take highway I-240 west, exit 4A onto 19-23 north(same as future highway I-26 WEST, go approx. 7 miles, exit 19A to 25-70 northwest, go 12.6 miles, turn left onto Little Pine Road(has a S.B.T.R.sign there), go 3.8 miles, turn left onto Caney Fork Road(has a S.B.T/R/ sign there), go approx. 1 mile, you are there.

Cost: 1 hour ride $35; 2 hour ride $65; Kids 6 & under riding w/parent is 1/2 price.

Times/Hours: Horseback rides leave daily at 10 a.m., 12 Noon and 2 p.m.
