Biltmore Village

Located right outside the entrance to the Vanderbilts’ historic estate, historic Biltmore Village is a destination unto itself for shopping, dining and historic culture.

The village was built around the train depot that supplied the Biltmore house with its materials during construction and later with its provisions, as well as its rich and famous visitors. It was envisioned as a self-sustaining community and designed to echo the aesthetic of the estate. The village’s tudor-style buildings today house boutique shops, fine art galleries, farm-to-table restaurants and All Souls Cathedral, built for the community in 1896.
