Day 1
Your first day in Asheville begins with a visit to Biltmore, George Vanderbilt’s 250-room home and country retreat, filled with priceless art. Then discover the estate’s other pleasures including a stroll in the vibrant gardens, a step back in time at River Bend Farm and a sampling of award-winning vintages at Biltmore’s winery.
Top off your day with dinner at a group friendly restaurant followed by a lively performance at Flat Rock Playhouse, the official North Carolina State Theatre.
Day 2
Discover the city that is Asheville! Begin with a southern-style breakfast rubbing elbows with the locals at the renowned Moose Café. Then stop next door at the Western North Carolina Farmer’s Market for some mountain crafts and regional fruits and vegetables.
Find your way into hip and happening downtown Asheville for a historic tour of the city. Whether a windshield tour with a step-on guide or traveling with one of three historic city tours, you’re sure to delight in the architectural beauty that is Asheville. Include some time for lunch then shopping at the Grove Arcade, one of Asheville’s architectural jewels.
Dinner will be a true Western North Carolina experience with BBQ, dancing and live Bluegrass music at the Fiddlin’ Pig.
Day 3
Let Asheville inspire you once more before heading home with a stop at the Folk Art Center, headquarters of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. The center showcases the finest in traditional and contemporary crafts of the Southern Appalachians and is located on America’s favorite drive, the Blue Ridge Parkway.
