Take the challenge! The Park’s winding entrance road climbs uphill an average of 7-9%, but the breathtaking 75-mile views of Lake Lure and the Hickory Nut Gorge at the finish line are well worth the effort. This is the ONLY TIME ever you can run or bike up to Chimney Rock. Part of the 8th Annual Hickory Nut Gorge Olympiad, medals are awarded in age groups.
