Buncombe County Master Gardeners will present a Spring Garden School—Gardening in Buncombe County—on Saturday, March 20 at AB-Tech's Ferguson Auditorium. Registration will begin at 8:30am and classes will be held from 9:00am -3:30pm. The theme will be home vegetable gardening, “Eat Local - Grow Your Own!". Classes will cover the basics of starting a vegetable garden, growing veggies in containers, pest control and organic options, specifics on popular veggies, including a session on tomatoes, and tips for growing more unusual vegetables. Enrollment is limited and cost is $10. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 17. Payment may be made with cash or check.
