Warren Wilson Theatre Presents Commedia Mask Guest Artist
The Theatre Department at Warren Wilson College is proud to announce a weekend of progressive workshops in mask technique in the Commedia and clowning tradition of Jacques Lecoq and Ariane Mnouchkine open for public observation on a first-come-first-seated basis. The workshops will be conducted by actor and master teacher, Carine Montbertrand. Ms. Montbertrand will conduct three sessions in Commedia mask technique on November 7th and 8th, the first session on Saturday, November 7th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the second and third sessions on Sunday, November 8th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Students for the workshops have already been chosen. All three sessions are open to public observers and will be in the Kittredge Music Wing Recital Hall on the Warren Wilson College campus. Sessions will begin promptly, and there will be no late seating. There is no charge for observers.
