Local author and Western North Carolina outdoors expert Danny Bernstein returns to Malaprop’s to discuss her latest book, Hiking North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Heritage. Bernstein, an outdoors writer who hikes several times a week, year-round, will also present a slide show featuring the beautiful hikes in her book. Her hiking experience ranges from the rugged mountains of the Northeast to New Zealand, and she recently completed the “Smokies 900,” a feat involving hiking every trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
