On this site you'll discover activity ideas that will help you make the most of your time in the mountains. In fact, plan on staying an extra day or two and bring your family. Conference room rates apply two days prior and two days post conference dates! We promise you'll find plenty of fun and interesting things to fill those extra days.
The Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is located 10 miles (approximately 25 minutes) from downtown, AVL is served by major rental car companies as well as a host of other ground transportation providers.
The Crowne Plaza is offering NASS conference attendees $20 per person/each way shuttle service from the Asheville Regional Airport. Please make sure to download the request form along with your registration materials and fax to the hotel at least 7 days prior to your arrival.

The 2012 NASS Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Golf and Tennis Resort Hotel in Asheville only 11 miles from the airport. A number of rooms have been set aside at a discount rate of $112/night plus 11% tax. This rate will also apply 2 days before and after the conference. For reservations, call 1-800.733-3211 and mention North American Sundial Society or reserve online at http://ashevillecp.com using the group code NAS. To assure availability of rooms, make your reservation as soon as possible - no later than July 16th.
